The good old newspapers are existing in a strange world. They are still read but are not so popular as they used to be. Many years back, the day began with newspapers and now that routine has undergone a change. It is not the paper in the hand that interests people, but the television screen. The audiovisual media has come to rule the roost, thereby pushing the newspaper to a less important place.
The traditional longer walk to the doorstep for the newspaper has been replaced by the shorter walk to the television. The newspaper has suffered thereby a small setback. The poor newspaper carries news, which is, unfortunately, not really fresh anymore, because the electronic media is faster than the print media, which is already a few hours hold.
